Teacher's Guide For Carnegie Hall Program
Amercian Roots

The American Roots program will consist of 4 different segments, each approximately 40 minutes long. The first 3 segments will consist of various songs I'll be presenting to your students. These songs will correspond to your teacher's guide/workbook, as well to the additional supplements - lyrics and pictures - which I have provided below. These combined materials will give you and your students a comprehensive understanding of the American Roots course.

The last segment is a Blues song writing workshop. Instructions for preparing your students for this workshop are also provided, along with sample songs to be used as examples in the Blues verse structure.

Please download the pdf - Program Segments for an overview of the complete program. In this file you will see a complete list of the songs presented in each segment and how they relate to the corresponding reference in your teacher's guide, supplentary lyric sheets and pictures.
