England 2007

A month long tour in which I criss-crossed my way all over England and Wales, performing 21 dates in all. What a blast!! Here's some photos and some reviews. Enjoy

Corfe Castle

My new neighbor - Albert Lee

"Little Toby Walker is quite simply one of the finest finger picking guitarists to come out of the US.... Once again, a truly memorable evening with this wonderful entertainer and musician who just gets better every time I see him. Hurry back Toby!"

That's Hardrian's Wall on the ridge behind me, just south of Scotland. Gotta keeps the Picts out!

A guitarist's delight - performing with Mike Dowling in Kent

Toby Walker & Mike Dowling... Bottleneck Blues Club
Toby & Mike were nothing short of incredible...individually they were each a tour de force but when they came together on-stage at the end of the evening we really saw what the term "virtuoso" means.  They threw together a bunch of numbers at very short notice (they only met for the first time at 6:00pm that night) & it didn't matter whether it was swing, bluegrass or blues....they swapped licks & had a ball.  It was a real pleasure to be present in such exulted company.

Country Joe McDonald... another neighbor

Great place to write a song - the Downs at Exmoor Forest

The Dorchester Arts Center Audience... a great night

My next house

The Ship Theater - Sevenoaks

Audience at The Ship Theater

My friends from Liverpool- John and Lorraine

"A supreme performer, who embellishes his considerable singing and guitar playing talents with a wealth of amusing stories .... he demonstrated his prodigious finger-picking brilliance and brought everyone to their feet in warm appreciation of a superlative performance.

A beautiful beach in Wales - not a bad way to spend the day

Burnett's Chapel, Pembrokeshire, Wales... a sweet place to perform in.

The view from the surrounding area.. deep Welsh farm country

Yes, the Welsh love the blues!

Can't leave out the other side:

And one of the oddest birds you'll ever encounter in Wales. This is the result of crossing a pheasant with a duck... known to the locals as a 'phuck.'

The beautiful Cumbrian hills, northern England
