I chose these CD's not only because I'd like to clear a little space in my studio, but because these three albums represent the best variety within my recording career.
In 'Toby Walker Plays Well With Others,' you'll get to hear me really mix it up with some top shelf musicians, something I don't do very often.
'What You See Is What You Get' features me using some of my coolest vintage instrument, including my rare use of electric slide playing.
Finally, 'Just Rolled In' is a recording of me live in concert, just as it happened with no overdubs.
So, read the reviews, listen to the samples and even save some $$$ with the low price and free shipping.
Heck, I'll even discount it more if you order all three of 'em!!!
Toby Walker Plays Well With Others
with special guest:
Steady Rollin' Bob Margolin
As the name suggests, Little Toby Walker's new disc celebrates the collaborative spirit. This collection of songs - they range from old standards like "Nine Hundred Miles From My Home" to more up-to-date original numbers like "100 Real Good Reasons To Sing the Blues" - showcases Walker's ability to breathe new life into old forms while preserving the essence of great acoustic blues.
Though Walker's contributing musicians are all first-rate, his chemistry with guitarist Bob Margolin (Muddy Waters Band) is particularly rich. "Beefsteak When I'm Hungry" is a jangly guitar duet, with Bob's juicy slide a ringing counterpoint to Walker's work in the higher registers. Listening to "You Got Something On the Side," it's easy to picture them swapping licks and stories in Margolin's living room.

Filled with classics and topped with some fine originals, Toby nails it man! You'll be transported to another time and place where there ain't nothin' but the blues!
Joltin Joe, Radio Nowhere, WMSC 90.3FM
On this new release, Walker continues mining the tradition, but, as he says in the liner notes, listeners on in for some interesting surprises. Forgoing the steel guitar that he’s used on prior recordings, Walker instead opts for electric slide guitar on this project.
In addition to the CD, Walker also embraces a modern approach, linking listeners to a hidden page on his web site, which contains three additional songs, videos of him recordings some of the songs on the record, pictures and stories of the myriad guitars he uses, and even a guitar lesson.
