Playing Mississippi John Hurt's Guitar
Recently I was in the Denver Folklore Center, a truly amazing place festooned with wonderful instruments, CDs, videos and books. The owner graciously invited me to play one of his special prized guitars... one previously owned by the late bluesman from MS. This one was obviously not for sale.
First One On My New 12 String Guitar
Imagine our surprise when my wife and I were awakened in the pre-dawn hours by two black bears tearing through the bird feeders in our backyard. We should've heeded our landscapers warning that we had previous visitations from these animals, but no, we didn't believe him - even when he pointed at a brown pile on the ground and said 'That Ain't Deer Poop!'
So I thought his sage warning would make a nice title to this newly composed instrumental.
