In this course we'll start off with the fundamentals of playing slide, but after that we're off to the races with a NEW SET OF SONGS in Open G tuning, which was used extensively through the Mississippi Delta. You'll learn the songs of Howlin' Wolf, Muddy Waters, Robert Johnson, and Son House. I'll also show you the different ways that you can expand upon those songs with different chords, solos, and hot licks. This will give you the ability to create your own variations!!! You'll learn: • How to get the best tone • How to get rid of unwanted notes by muting • How to expand upon a song once you learn the basics • Several songs in the styles of the slide guitar giants. • Fingerpicking the bass while playing slide melodies.
