92' Collings OM2 Custom

My goodness, does this gal sing. Opened up with just the right amount of dings, dents, scratches and above all mojo... I knew this was coming home with me the minute I started playing it.
I found out from Mark at Collings at Collings guitars in Austin that this particular instrument was finished on October 14th, 1992... the serial number is 619. It was a custom made order, having a slimmer neck profile, bound ebony headstock, bound ebony fingerboard with no fret markings. The Waverly tuners are engraved with the 'Collings' logo... only 300 of these were made.
In 1992 the Collings company was only 3 years old, having around 10 employees and putting out perhaps 5 guitars weekly... much different than they are today. More than likely each employee had a specific job to do, paying a lot of attention to every detail as evident with this instrument.
