1953 Kalamazoo KG-1

In 1953, Gibson made Kalamazoo acoustic guitars designated as Model KG-1, which were the forerunner to the Gibson Model LG-0. Recent information indicates that they were possibly two batches of approximately 35-40 guiras made in total. In addition, shipping records list 280 Model 'KM' Kalamazoo Mandolin shipped between 1949-1953, as well as Model KES - Kalamazoo Electric Spanish models from this era.
