Loar LH-200
Sold

Not a bad bang for the buck if you're looking for a very inexpensive guitar with a real boxy 'honk' sound. The folks at Loar are not unlike everyone else these days when it comes to recreating those 'vintage' guitars of the 30's but for a few hundred bucks I think they did a pretty good job. No, it'll never compare to an vintage L-00 or an LG-2 but this works on it's own level.
Solid spruce top, with what I believe to be laminated mahogany back and sides. 1 11/16th nut width, adjustable truss rod and a full scale length.
Grover 'Butterbean' open tuners to boot. Pretty cool.

Here are a couple of videos I did with this. The first one is my take on 'Saturday Night Rub' by Big Bill Broonzy. It's played in Drop G tuning - DGDGBE and of course I've added quite a bit to the original version. Note to the 'Blues Police' - too bad. ; )
This next tune is the St. Louis Tickle which was arranged by one of my heroes,
the late Dave Van Ronk.
