Bob Margolin and Toby Walker -
'Beefsteak When I'm Hungry' and '100 Real Good Reasons To Sing The Blues.'
Toby Walker - fingerpicking '89 Martin and vocals
Bob Margolin - '30 Gibson and 50's Les Paul
Bob Margolin was Muddy Water's guitarist for several years. Since then he's led his own band which plays some of the nicest blues on the planet.
I recorded 'Beefsteak When I'm Hungry' with Bob at his home in N.C. It's on my CD called 'Toby Walker Plays Well With Others.' That's Bob's voice saying 'play this song and let me see where we go' when the song starts. Then you can hear him playing slide which he did throughout the song.
Toby: Just how old are those strings Bob?
Bob: Older then dirt
Bob's playing a Gibson 1930 L-00 with strings that are older than dirt... his preference for that particular guitar.

Here he's playing his gold top along on another song we cut that day called '100 Real Good Reasons To Sing The Blues.' Bob really NAILED the lead on this one!!!!
