The Music and Stories of the African American Sharecropper
Welcome and thanks for taking the time to view my video. I've spent years researching the rich history of blues music, its creators, and how it ties into the lives of the African American Sharecropper. Although I've done this program live for over 17 years in the middle schools, I have now adapted it for use in this age of the COVID19 pandemic.
This is a short trailer describing what my 30 minute program contains.
There are two ways to use this subject matter. Both of them will be virtual.
The first is a video which the teacher can download and/or stream to show in their classroom. The film can be used over and over again within a given time period.
In the second option, I'll be performing 'live' in between portions of the film. If time allows, this can be followed up with a Q&A session.
